Acupuncture points: [ak-yoo-puhngk-cher • point·s] (Chinese: 腧穴 or 穴位, also called acupoints) are locations on the body that are the focus of acupuncture, acupressure, sonopuncture and laser acupuncture treatment. Several hundred acupuncture points are located along meridians (connected points across the anatomy which affect a specific organ or other part of the body). There are also numerous “extra points” not associated with a particular meridian.
Adam and Eve: [ad-uh m • uh nd • eev] According to Christian, Gnostic and Manichaean, Islamic and Jewish traditions Adam and Eve were the forebears of Mankind.
ADD & ADHD: [A-D-D] & [A-D-H-D] Attention Deficit Disorder [uh-ten-shuh·n • def-uh-sit • dis-awr-der] and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [uh-ten-shuh·n • def-uh-sit • hahy-per-ak-tiv-i-tee • dis-awr-der] basically mean the same thing. It is a condition that develops within some children in their early childhood years, but can continue into adulthood. ADD/ADHD can make it difficult for people to be able to control their behavior, as well as various other symptoms.
The current estimation is that between 3 and 5 percent of American children suffer from some degree of attention deficit disorder. This translates to approximately 2 million children across the United States. Similarly, between 2 and 4 percent of all adults in the USA have ADD/ADHD.
Adenine: [ad-n-in een] or [ad-n-in ahyn] is one of the five main nucleobases
found in the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. Cytosine, thymine, and uracil are derived from the one-ring parent molecule pyrimidine, while guanine and adenine are derived from the two-ring parent molecule purine. Adenine has the formula C5H5N5O and allows cells to store their blueprints about how that life form is built.
Akasha: [ah-kah-shuh] — See “Akashic Record.”
>Akashic Record (Akhashic): [ah-kah-sheek • rek-erd ] [ah-kah-sheek • rek-erd] is similar to a Cosmic or collective consciousness. The record has been referred to by different names including the Cosmic Mind, the Universal Mind, the collective unconscious, or the collective subconscious. “Akashic” comes from the Sanskrit word Akasha or Akash (आकाश), meaning “space” or “aether.” Known as the fifth element, it is the omnipresent spiritual power that permeates the Universe. Akasha is the energy out of which the Elements formed (the primal universe power). Many believe that the “Book of Life” mentioned in the Bible (Revelation20:12) refers to the Akashic Record.
Some postulate that clairvoyance and psychic perception are accessed through this Universal filing system that can be likened to the computer web. In the akashic record every thought, word and action (all information) is recorded and stored. Transformative Ch’i concept holds that the Akhashic Record is located in the spine of each individual. Author and spiritual teacher Linda Howe answers questions on the Akashic Record on this interesting 3¼ minute video. To view her video please click on this LINK. Note: There is neither connection nor endorsement between Center for Akashic Studies and Transformative Ch’i.
Akhashic Record (Akashic): — See “Akashic Record.”
Alkali: [al-kuh-lahy] is an acid-neutralizing chemical substance. It is a water-soluble chemical that reacts with acids to form salts, has a pH above 7 and turns red litmus paper blue.

Alleles: (plural) [uh-leel z] are one of two or more alternative forms of a gene that may occur alternatively at a given site on a specific chromosome. Alleles may occur in pairs, or there may be multiple alleles affecting the expression of a particular trait. If paired alleles are the same, the organism is said to be homozygous for that trait; if they are different, the organism is heterozygous. A dominant allele will override the traits of a recessive allele in a heterozygous pairing.
Allergenic Overloads: [al-er-jen-ik • oh-ver-lohd z] occur when a person acquires more allergens than can be handled at a given time. Overloads of allergenic toxins in a person’s body cause ill health and suffering. Dr L. Carl Ebnother, director of the Centre for Orthomolecular Medicine in California, says that the average person today is allergic to 25 foods. We can compound this with the toxins found in the air, water, cosmetics, et cetera.
Allopathic Medicine: [uh-lo-pǎth-ik • med-uh-sin] is the system of medical practice which treats disease by the use of remedies which produce effects different from those produced by the disease under treatment. MDs practice allopathic medicine (also called conventional medicine). The term “allopathy” [uh-lop-uh-thee] was coined in 1842 by Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann to designate the usual practice of medicine (allopathy) as opposed to homeopathy, the system of therapy that he founded based on the concept that disease can be treated with drugs (in minute doses) thought capable of producing the same symptoms in healthy people as the disease itself.
Allopathy: [uh-lop-uh-thee] is a term coined in 1842 by Dr.
Amino Acids: [uh-mee-noh • as-id z] are used in every cell of the
body. They are used to build the proteins needed to survive. All organisms need some proteins, whether they are used in muscles or as simple structures in the cell membrane. All organisms have one thing in common, the need for basic chemical building blocks. Amino acids have a two-carbon bond. One of the carbons is part of a group called the carboxyl group. A carboxyl group is made up of one carbon (C), two oxygens (O), and one hydrogen atom (H). The carboxyl group is acidic. The second carbon is a part of the amino group. Amino means there is an NH2 group bonded to the carbon atom. In the image on the right is a “+” and a “-.” In amino acids, one hydrogen atom moves to the other end of the molecule. An extra “H” gives a positive charge. There are over 20 compounds that combine to form proteins.
Antisocial Personality: [an-tee-soh-shuhl • pur-suh-nal-i-tee] or [an-tahy- soh-shuhl • pur-suh-nal-i-tee] as used in this context, is a person who suppresses those around him/her openly and/or in secret. Although many attributes of this type of suppressive person are similar; the meaning here does not refer to antisocial personality disorder.
Asian Medicine: [ey-zhuh n • med-uh-sin] or [ey-shuh n • med-uh-sin] is an ancient holistic system of health and healing, based on the idea of harmony, balance, moderation and prevention.
Attention Deficit Disorder: [uh-ten-shuh·n • def-uh-sit • dis-awr-der] — See “ADD & ADHD.”

Blueprint: [bloo-prĭnt] Every cell of the body has the same “blueprint” or the same DNA. Like the blueprints of a house tell the builders how to construct a house, the DNA “blueprint” tells the cell how to build the organism.
Body: [bod-ee] — See “Human Body.”
Bowen Therapy Technique: [boh-uh n • ther-uh-pee • tek-neek] — See Neurostructural Integration Technique.

close to the primary sensory apparatus of vision, hearing, equilibrioception (balance), sense of taste, and olfaction (smell).
Broca’s motor speech area: [broh-kuh’z • moh-ter • speech • air-ee-uh] is located in the frontal lobe of the brain, usually in the left cerebral hemisphere. It is associated with the motor control of speech. Broca’s area is named for French surgeon and anthropologist Pierre Paul Broca, who first located the area.
Catch-22: [kach-twen-tee-too] term comes from the 1961 novel Catch 22 by J. Heller. It refers to any situation in which a person is frustrated by a paradoxical rule or set of circumstances that preclude any attempt to escape from them, i.e., any situation in which any move that a person can make will lead to trouble.
Cave Dwellers: [keyv • dwel-er] Some evolutionists who dismiss the idea of Adam and Eve being the forebears of modern mankind have assigned this designation to the cave dwellers.
Cell: [sel] is the basic structural and functional unit of all known living
organisms. It is the smallest unit of life that is classified as a living thing, and is often called the building block of life. All organisms are composed of cells. The purpose of cells is to keep the organism it is supporting alive. Cells can reproduce by the minute. When an organism dies, the cells die.
Ch’i: (chi, qi) [chee] or [kahy] in Asian cultures literally means “air,” “breath” or “gas.” Chi is used in the Western World for “energy flow” which is a less frequently used Asian meaning. There are literally thousands of definitions for Chi including creating, creation, the Creator, the Universe and Universal energy flow. In Taoism and other Chinese thought Ch’i is thought to be inherent in all things. The unimpeded circulation of chi and a balance of its negative and positive forms in the body are held to be essential to good health, joy and prosperity in traditional Chinese medicine.
Chiropractic: [kahy-ruh-prak-tik] is a therapeutic system based primarily upon the interactions of the spine and nervous system, the method of treatment is usually to adjust the segments of the spinal column. — See “Chiropractors.”
Chiropractors: (plural) [kahy-ruh-prak-ter z] practice the art and science of Chiropractic [kahy-ruh-prak-tik] which is an alternative medical system. They take a different, more natural, approach from standard medicine in the
treating health problems. — See “Chiropractic.”
Chloroplasts: (plural) [klawr-uh-plast z] or [klohr-uh-plast z] are chlorophyll-containing plastids found in algal and green plant cells. They are where photosynthesis takes place and contain disk-shaped structures called thylakoids that make possible the formation of Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), an energy-rich storage compound.
Chromosomes: (plural) [kroh-muh-sohm z] make organisms what they are by carrying all of the information needed to help a cell grow, thrive, and reproduce. Chromosomes are threadlike linear strands of DNA and associated proteins found in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. Segments of DNA in specific patterns are called genes which make us what we are. Chromosomes and genetic material are found in the nucleus (core or center) of a cell.
Chromosomes carry the genes and functions in the transmission of hereditary information. Human DNA molecules are very long. When cells divide the DNA must first replicate and divide equally between the daughter cells. But the long, entangled DNA may break and important information may become lost. So the DNA strands coil to form the highly condensed chromosomes. This tremendous reduction in length makes it much easier for the DNA to divide, ensuring equal distribution of genetic material to daughter cells.
Co-creation: [koh-kree-ey-shuh n] is a Divinely led partnership between humanity and Spirit. It is where we jointly share, with each other and the Creator, in the continuing process of creation.
Conscious Spiritual Energy: [kon-shuh’ s • spir-i-choo-uh l • en-er-jee] is Universal life force that runs within and between all things. It has and is “total awareness.” At the Spirit(ual) level of our being we know All Things. We all share in the consciousness of the Universe.

Cowed: [kou’d] is to be frightened by threats or violence, et cetera. One who is cowed is intimidated and/or overawed – “beaten-down.”
Creator: [kree-ey-ter] is the One responsible for creating the Universe. That which created, sustains and holds together all that is (“God,” “Source,” “The
Eternal”).
Cytoplasm: [sahy-tuh-plaz-uh m] is the fluid that fills a cell. Scientists used to call the fluid protoplasm. There are many different types of fluids in the cell. There is special fluid in the mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and the nucleus. The only two ‘plasms’ left are cytoplasm (the fluid in the cell also called cytosol) and nucleoplasm (the fluid in the nucleus). Each of those fluids has a very different composition in the portion of living cells bordered externally by the plasma membrane (cell membrane) and internally by the nuclear envelope. Human cytoplasm contains mostly water, from 80 to 97% in different cells. It is in the cytoplasm where the chemical changes of the cell take place.
Cytosine: [sahy-tuh-seen], [sahy-tuh–zeen] or [sahy-tuh-sin] is one of the
five main nucleobases found in the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. Cytosine, thymine, and uracil are derived from the one-ring parent molecule pyrimidine, while guanine and adenine are derived from the two-ring parent molecule purine. Cytosine has the formula C4H5N3O and allows cells to store their blueprints about how that life form is built.

>Dimension: [dih-men-shuh·n] or [dahy-men-shuh·n] We think of the space around us as having 3-dimensions, i.e., length, width and depth (or height). Put these together and we have what is called 3-dimensional Euclidean space. Albert Einstein demonstrated that time and space is inseparably linked. Adding the time axis to our three-dimensional space makes our space-time-continuum four-dimensional. Theoretical physicists disagree regarding how many dimensions actually exist in the Universe. Some put it at 10 or 11 or 13 dimensions but no one really knows how many dimensions really exist. More than likely the number is unfathomable. Rob Bryanton has an excellent 12-minute video presentation on 10-dimensional space. To view this video please click on this LINK.
Divine: [dih-vahyn] God (“Source,” “The Eternal,” The Creator,” “God”).
Divine Natural Awareness: [dih-vahyn • nach-er-uh l • uh-wair-nis] or [dih-vahyn • nach-ruh l • uh-wair-nis] Almost every living thing has this natural awareness built in. Hyper-communication uses DNA to communicate with other DNA within the Universe by traversing through wormholes in the curved space-time continuum. Various forms of consciousness connect with one another, exchanging information both consciously and unconsciously through hyper-communication. This phenomenon allows for “awareness” of “all things” at “all times.”
Divine System: [dih-vahyn • sis-tuh m] refers to the ever-expanding specific and complex arrangement of the Universe.
Divineness: [dih-vahyn-nis] is having the nature of the Divine (God). That part of us (Spirit) that is connected to Source IS Divine with all of the Divine attributes inherited from the creation process.
DNA Activation: [dee-en-ey • ak-tuh-vey-shuh’n] instructs every cell in the body to halt its cellular degeneration process and to shift its consciousness back to its original state of Divine and perfect rejuvenation.
>DNA & RNA: (deoxyribonucleic acid & ribonucleic acid) [dee-ok-si-rahy-boh-noo-klee-ik • as-id] or [dee-ok-si-rahy-boh-noo-kyuh-ik • as-id] DNA and RNA are both nucleic acids, meaning that they are both macromolecules (large molecules) that are responsible for storing and transmitting the genetic material of living organisms. DNA consists of two long chains of nucleotides twisted into a double helix and joined by hydrogen bonds between the complementary bases adenine and thymine or cytosine and guanine. For a 28 minute introduction to DNA video please click on this LINK. Note: There is neither connection nor endorsement between Transformative Ch’i and Khan Academy.
RNA consists of a long, usually single-stranded chain of alternating phosphate and ribose units with the bases adenine, guanine, cytosine, and uracil bonded to the ribose. RNA molecules are involved in protein synthesis and sometimes in the transmission of genetic information. Each nucleotide consists of a sugar, a phosphate and a nucleic acid base. The sugar in DNA is deoxyribose. The sugar in RNA is ribose, the same as deoxyribose but with one more OH (oxygen-hydrogen atom combination called a hydroxyl). This is the biggest difference between DNA and RNA. Another difference is that RNA molecules can have a much greater variety of nucleic acid bases. DNA has mostly just 4 different bases with a few extra occasionally. The difference in these bases (between DNA and RNA) allows RNA molecules to assume a wide variety of shapes and also many different functions. DNA, on the other hand, serves as a set of directions. For a 3 minute video entitled From RNA to Protein Synthesis please click on this LINK. Our thanks to PBS station KOCE-TV – serving the greater Los Angeles area for this video.
DNA Legacies: [dee-en-ey • leg-uh-see z] — See “Legacies.”
Double Blinds: [duhb-uh l • blahynd z] are scientific tests in which neither test subjects nor administrators know who is in the control group and who is in the experimental group. The intent is to create an unbiased test environment, ensuring that the results of the testing are accurate and will stand up to analysis by other members of the scientific community.
>Double Helix: [duhb-uh l • hee-liks] is the DNA molecule that consists of two chains of nucleotides and is shaped like a twisted ladder. Scientists have discovered at least ten more double layers (20-strands) lying upon the two biological strands of the double helix. These additional layers are integral, inter-dimensional aspects that connect to the physical strands, some interfacing biologically with the double helix. To view a 6 minute video entitled The DNA double helix: A 20th century icon, please click on this LINK. Our thanks to The Newton Community Channel for this video.
Drug Side Effects: [druhg • sahyd • ih-fekts] Along with intended results, all medications can cause unwanted side effects. These effects can happen when you start a new medication, decrease or increase the dose of a medication, or when you stop using a medication. Drug side effects can occur when medicines are used with other incompatible medicines, herbs, foods, et cetera. Some side effects may be severe and require medical attention, some can be lethal, while others may be mild and of little concern.
Einstein-Rosen Bridges: [ahyn-stahyn • rohz-en • brij-iz] is the part of a black hole that allows for another set of dimensions on the other side of the black hole to attach to the one from our Universe. This makes passage through the bridge and into another Universe a mathematical possibility.
Élan vital: [ey-lahn vee-tal] (Vital Force) is a term used by French philosopher Henri Bergson in his 1907 book Creative Evolution. It is a hypothetical explanation for the evolution and development of organisms, which Bergson linked closely with consciousness.
Electromagnetic Field: [ih-lek-troh-mag-net-ik • feeld] is an invisible flow of Universal inseparable inter-connectedness. It IS Energy. Neurophysiologists, Quantum Physicists, et cetera, are among those in many scientific fields who are beginning to support the idea that humankind is in contact with the Universal field.
It is both energy which we as spiritual beings produce and energy with which we are in contact. It interacts with the earths’ magnetic field, connects with the suns’ magnetic field, interchanges with the galactic magnetic field, meshes with the Universal magnetic field, interfaces with inter-dimensional fields, et cetera.
Electromagnetic Pollution: [ih-lek-troh-mag-net-ik • puh-loo-shuh n] In the 1950’s and 60’s before so many atomic bomb explosions had occurred, the world was in a much more balanced state, with both hemispheres in harmony. Today’s excessive electromagnetic pollution is aided by the destruction of our forests and we have changed our climate to such a degree that even the nature of electric storms has changed. The most intense and widespread electromagnetic radiation produced by man – many times stronger than from natural sources – is in the extremely low frequency (ELF) spectrum. In 1989, the average intensity of the background man-made ELF magnetic fields was about ten times stronger than that resulting from all natural planetary and cosmic events, doubling the ELF fields monitored less than a decade earlier. 60 Hz ELF fields surround almost all electrical appliances, and are particularly acute near power transformers. Cells, essential organic units in all living beings, are electromagnetic resonators capable of absorbing radiations of all frequencies allowing ELFs to be a real risk factor.
Encoding: [en-kohd-ing] is the process of transforming information from one format into another.
Energetic Medicine: [en-er-jet-ik • med-uh-sin] is a wide-ranged field that includes Acupuncture, Bio-Resonance, EDS – Electrodermal Screening Devices & Computer Electro Dermal Screening (CEDS), Homeopathy, Informational Medicine – Infoceuticals (body field research and body field aligners), Quantum Scanning, Radionics, Rei’ki, Reflexology, Ro’han, Transformative Ch’i and many other healing techniques.
Environmental Pollution: [en-vahy-ruh n-muh n-tl • puh-loo-shuh n] or [en-vahy-ern-muh n-tl • puh-loo-shuh n] takes many forms as in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the ground where we grow our food and the increasing noise we hear every day. These contribute to health problems and a lower quality of life.
Essence: [es-uh ns] is the core, fabric or identity of an object or substance. Fundamentally, it is what the object or substance IS; everything of which it is composed. In metaphysics your Essence is comprised of a physical body, mind/Soul and Spirit.

combined with an alcohol.
Eukaryotic: [yoo-kar-ee-oht] or [yoo-kar-ee-uh t] refers to single or multi-cellular organisms whose cells contain a distinct membrane-bound nucleus.
Exorcists: (plural) [ek-sawr-sist z] or [ek-ser-sist z] In some religious beliefs priests, monks, healers, shaman or other specially prepared or instructed persons perform the ridding of demons or other supernatural beings that are alleged to have possessed a person, building or object.
Expanded Beingness: [ik-span-did • bee-ing-nes] is your expanded Metaphysical Entity (“Higher” or “Expanded” Self) that is composed of your Soul and Spirit. It is this Expanded Self that projects the holographic image of your physical body.
Expanded Self: [ik-span-did • self] — See “Expanded Beingness.”
Extra-Dimensional: [ek-struh-dih-men-shuh n-uhl] or [ek-struh-dahy-men-shuh n-uhl] The concept of extra dimensions takes the rules of our three-dimensional space and generalizes them to a space with more dimensions. The possibility of spaces with dimensions higher than three was first studied by mathematicians and philosophers almost two hundred years ago. A dimension is a property, such as mass, length, time, or a combination thereof, regarded as a fundamental measure or as one of a set of fundamental measures of a physical quantity: Velocity has the dimensions of length divided by time. The theory of a Holographic Universe suggests eleven dimensions of space-time which appear four-dimensional on the human scale. There may be an infinite number of dimensions in which we simultaneously exist.
Extreme Temperature Variation: [ik-streem • tem-per-uh-choo r • vair-ee-ey-shuh n] occurs seasonally and often even daily in many parts of the world. Extreme variations, hot and cold, hot and cold, can be harmful to cells, the essential organic units in all living beings. Work environments such as working in freezers, next to ovens, et cetera, are also harmful to the cells. Living or spending time in severe areas like Death Valley or the Arctic Poles are risk factors.
Fabric: [fab-rik] is the fundamental Structure or Makeup of things. The fabric of the Universe is Energy. This energy is the Universal Life Force running within and between all things. It is the Hebrew Shekhinah שכן; God’s presence or indwelling in all things.
Facilitator: [fuh-sil-i-tey-ter] — See “Transformative Ch’i facilitators.”
Fascia: Singular [fash-ee-uh]; plural fasciae [fey-shuh] is a layer of fibrous tissue that permeates the human body. A fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds muscles, groups of muscles, blood vessels, and nerves, binding those structures together in much the same manner as plastic wrap can be used to hold the contents of sandwiches together. It consists of several layers: a superficial fascia, a deep fascia, and a subserous (or visceral) fascia and extends uninterrupted from the head to the tip of the toes.
Fibromyalgia: [fahy-broh-mahy-al-juh] is a catch-all term pertaining to ailments categorized by fatigue and chronic pain in the muscles and in tissues surrounding the joints.
Four Fundamental Known Forces in nature: [fawr • fuhn-duh-men-tl • nohn • fawrs-es] or [fohr • fuhn-duh-men-tl • nohn • ohrs]
• Gravity acts between all mass in the Universe with infinite range.
• Electromagnetic acts between electrically charged particles with infinite range. Electricity, magnetism and light are produced by this force.
• Strong Nuclear Force binds neutrons and protons together in the cores of atoms with short range force.
• Weak Nuclear Force causes Beta decay (the conversion of a neutron to a proton, an electron and an antineutrino) and various particles (the “strange” ones) are formed by strong interactions but decay via weak interactions, also with short range.
Frequency: [free-kwuh n-see] is the measurement of how many waves or oscillations pass a fixed place in a given amount of time. Usually frequency is measured in the hertz unit. The hertz measurement, abbreviated Hz, is the number of waves that pass by per second. For example, an “A” note on a violin string vibrates at about 440 Hz (440 vibrations per second).
Fungi: [fuhn-jahy] or [fuhng-gahy] Plural of fungus. — See “Fungus.”
Fungus: (Singular) [fuhng-guh·s] is a plant-like organism which, lacking chlorophyll, is unable to photosynthesize. Fungi (Plural) [fuhn-jahy] or [fuhng-gahy] obtain nutrients by absorbing organic matter from their surroundings.
Ganglia: (Plural) [gang-glee-uh] — “See Ganglion.”
Ganglion: (Singular) [gang-glee-uh·n] ¹ is a mass of nerve tissue existing outside the central nervous system. ² are any of certain masses of gray matter in the brain, as the basal ganglia.
Genes: [jeen’z] occupy specific areas on chromosomes and determine particular characteristics in an organism. They are the basic instruction, a sequence of nucleic acid (DNA or, in the case of certain viruses, RNA). They hold the information to build and maintain your cells and pass genetic traits to offspring. Genes undergo mutation when their DNA sequence changes.
Genetic Codes: (Plural) [juh-net-ik • kohd’z] are sets of rules by which information encoded in genetic material (DNA or mRNA sequences) is translated into proteins (amino acid sequences) by living cells.
Genetic Material: [juh-net-ik • muh-teer-ee-uh l] of a cell or an organism refers to those materials found in the nucleus, mitochondria and cytoplasm, which play a fundamental role in determining the structure and nature of cell substances, and capable of self-propagating and variation.
Genetic Recombination: [juh-net-ik • ree-kom-buh-ney-shuh n] is a process whereby chromosome segments from two parents physically exchange places with each other during the process of meiosis. This is one of the ways that mutation occurs.
Geopathic Stress: [jee-oh'pahth-ik • stres] is the name given to natural or
man-made energies emanating from the earth, which are detrimental to human health. People with short term exposure to harmful geopathic energy may simply show symptoms of tiredness, inattention and headaches. Long term exposure to detrimental energy could be devastating for one’s health and wellbeing and could even be fatal.
>Gestalt Effect: [guh-shtahlt • ih-fekt], [guh-shtawlt • ih-fekt], [guh-stahlt • ih-fekt] or [guh-stawlt • ih-fekt] refers to the form-forming capability of our senses, with respect to visual recognition of figures and whole forms (instead of a collection of simple lines and curves). Gestalt is a German word meaning “form.” Please click on this LINK to view Brett Michael’s 3½ minute video on the Gestalt Effect.
>Graviton Particle: [grav-i-ton • pahr-ti-kuh·l] is a theoretical particle, but it is believed to be what mediates gravity. Guanine: [gwah-neen] is one of the five main nucleobases found in the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. Cytosine, thymine, and uracil are derived from the one-ring parent molecule pyrimidine, while guanine and adenine are derived from the two-ring parent molecule purine. Guanine has the formula C5H5N5O and allows cells to store their blueprints about how that life form is built. The universality of guanine plays a central role in the DNA of all living organisms and even in RNA viruses. This is evidence of the connectedness and unity of all life.
Helix: [hee-liks] is a spiral form or structure. It is characterized by the fact that the tangent line at any point makes a constant angle with a fixed line called the axis. Examples of helices (plural) [hel-uh-seez] are coil springs and the handrails of spiral staircases. In biology the DNA molecule is formed as two intertwined helices — See “Double Helix.” Many proteins have helical substructures, known as alpha helices. The word helix comes from the Greek word ἕλιξ.

Some reactions or processes would be harmful to the cell if it were to exist outside of a membrane-bound organelle. For example, lysosomes contain hydrolytic enzymes that are used for digestion when it fuses with a food vacuole. These enzymes couldn’t exist freely without cellular damage. Also because of increased surface area and compartmentalization, organelles give rise to complicated eukaryotic organisms.

Its goal is to restore the optimum environment of the body by correcting imbalances or deficiencies based on individual biochemistry, using substances natural to the body such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, trace elements and fatty acids. The term “orthomolecular” was first used by Linus Pauling in a paper he wrote in the American Journal of Science in 1968. The key idea in orthomolecular medicine is that genetic factors affect not only the physical characteristics of individuals, but also to their biochemical milieu. It differs from genetic recombination, in that it does not occur through processes within the cell or ribosome, but is exclusively engineered.
Reflexologist: [ree-fleks-ol-uh-just] or [ree-fleks-ol-uh-jest] is a therapist who practices reflexology. — See “Reflexology.”
Reflexology: [ree-flek-sol-uh-jee] is a system of massaging specific areas of the foot or sometimes the hand in order to promote healing, relieve stress, etc., in other parts of the body.
Retracing: [re-trey-sing] is the re-experiencing or re-awakening of pain or other symptoms, including memories or even emotions that seem suddenly to erupt to the surface. It is a part of the healing process.
Ribonucleic acid: [rahy-boh-noo-klee-ik • as-id] or [rahy-boh-noo-kyuh-ik • as-id] — See “DNA & RNA.”
Ribosomes: (plural) [rahy-buh-sohm z] are minute round particles composed of RNA and protein that are found in the cytoplasm of living cells and serve as sites of assembly for polypeptides encoded by messenger RNA. Cells need to make proteins. Those proteins might be used as enzymes or as support for other cell functions. Ribosomes are the protein builders or the protein synthesizers of the cell which connect one amino acid at a time to build long chains.
RNA: (Ribonucleic acid) [rahy-boh-noo-klee-ik • as-id] or [rahy-boh-noo-kyuh-ik • as-id] — See “DNA & RNA.”
Shaman: [shah-muh n], [shey-muh n] or [sham-uh n] The term shaman originated in Siberia and today is applied to medicine men and women of indigenous cultures whose practice includes the “flight of the soul.” In various cultures there are similarities in the way shaman work with healing and connect to the spiritual aspect of people and the world.
Soul: [sohl] The mind/Soul (Psyche) is a fourth dimensional physical form of existence vibrating at a much higher frequency than the third dimensional body. It has a similar shape and appearance as the third dimensional physical body. The Soul is the source of one’s purpose and is the part of each individual that influences thought, behavior and personality. Each individual soul is the growth of the individualization of Spirit and projects a holographic image of itself that we refer to as our bodies. Each individual Soul is a part of the Universal Spirit which is within us.
Through Spirit we are connected to everything. Nothing is outside Self, for Self is a boundless and measureless expression of Spirit . When the Soul withdraws from a body, Spirit remains with the Soul, for just as Soul is an expression of Spirit, so is the body an expression of the Soul. Spirit cannot die, life cannot die.
According to psychologist James Hillman, the Soul has an affinity for negative thoughts and images, whereas spirit seeks to rise above the entanglements of life and death.
Source: [sawrs[ or [sohrs] is the original point. We use the term to refer to the One that originally caused, created, initiated and made the Universe. It is to Source that all things are connected and with which all things is a part.
>Space and Time: [speys • and • tahym] “The Universe just is: a fixed space-time block. All past and future times are equally present, and the present ‘now’ is just one of an infinite number.” –University of Cape Town scientist George Ellis and Princeton University expert Tony Rothman. A space-time continuum is simply the three dimensions of space combined with the dimensions of time. To find out how time slows down when objects are traveling at high velocities please click on this LINK for a short video on the space-time continua. Spiritual Capacity: [spir-i-choo-uh l • kuh-pas-i-tee] is that part of our Spirit(ual) character that enables us to discover the essence of our very being. It is our connection with a larger reality of self; other individuals; mankind; nature; the cosmos and the realm of the Divine. This connection links our Souls with our Spirit which is eternally joined to Source.
Spiritual Energetic Field: [spir-i-choo-uh l • en-er-jet-ik • feeld] is a subtle consciousness that goes beyond the physical. It is a single continuous field of energy that encompasses and permeates the entire Universe. It carries and contains all Universal knowledge.
Spiritual Energy: [spir-i-choo-uh l • en-er-jee] is a Universal Life Force running within and between all things. It is the Hebrew Shekhinah שכן; God’s presence or indwelling in all things.
Spiritual Form: [spir-i-choo-uh l • fawrm] pertains to the Human Spirit. The Spiritual Form is a fragment of Universal Energy which is located in each human solar plexus. It is pure Spiritual Energy and is unlike any other form of energy. From the solar plexus it connects with the whole Universe and the Divine.
Spoken word: [spoh-kuh n • wurd] Spoken words are oral expressions of our thoughts which originate from Spirit which projects the thoughts on to the Soul. The projection is then defined and interpreted contingent upon the condition of the Soul, i.e., the Soul’s state of mind. After being “Soul filtered” the projection continues on to the brain. The area of the brain responsible for motor control of the anatomic structures is called Broca’s motor speech area. From here messages are sent and the motor nerves leading to the neck and face control movements of the tongue, lips, and jaws.
Star People: [stahr • pee-puh l] Native American tribes such as the Hopi and Manataka; Mexican, Central and South American civilizations such as the Aztecs, Incas and Mayans believed that their benefactors and/or predecessors came from the stars.
>String Theory: [string • thee-uh-ree] or [string • theer-ee] refers to various mathematical models in attempts to find a common explanation for the four main forces observed in nature. These forces are gravity, the electromagnetic force, the strong nuclear force and the weak nuclear force, respectively. — See “Four Fundamental Known Forces in nature.”
Classical physics defines that the Universe is made of small particles (points) which are basically static and unchanging. String theory says that the particle is a string/line (not a particle/point) that forms these four different forces by vibrating in different ways. Rob Bryanton has an excellent 12-minute video presentation entitled Imagine the Tenth Dimension – String Theory. Please click on this LINK to view his video. Also, University of Southern California Dornsife Professor of Physics and Astronomy Clifford Johnson provides a glimpse into his research on string theory. Structural Imbalances: [struhk-cher-uh l • im-bal-uh n-ses] The physical part of the human body is a third dimensional holographically projected structure of an entire human organism consisting of (at adulthood) close to 50 trillion cells, the basic unit of life. Structural imbalances include any and all abnormalities of this physical projection.
>Subatomic Particles: [suhb-uh-tom-ik • pahr-ti-kuh·lz] are extremely small particles, and the three major types of subatomic particles are protons, electrons and neutrons. Please click on to this LINK to see a short video on how the activity of subatomic particles gives matter its properties. The video takes a few seconds to begin and may or may not start with an advertisement. Our thanks to Miami Christian School for this video. Switched Circuit: [swich·t • sur-kit] — See “Switching.”
Switched Circuitry: [swich·t • sur-ki-tree] —See “Switching.”
Switching: [swich-ing] is a term used to describe the phenomenon that takes place when the two hemispheres of the brain are not in complete communication with each other. The two most important functions of the nervous system are to receive and to transmit information. If a functional error in the send/receive process takes place then switching can occur. This takes place when a magnetic flow or flux is disturbed. Picture a rail road train on the main track. Suddenly, a switch is “tripped” and the train is on an alternate track, bypassing the main route. In the human body, physical, emotional, psychic or nutritional/chemical stimuli can overload a circuit, tripping a switch, sending information along a different track.
Thymine: [thahy-meen] or [thahy-min] is one of the five major component bases found in the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. Thymine, cytosine and uracil are derived from the one-ring parent molecule pyrimidine while adenine and guanine are derived from the two-ring parent molecule purine. In
DNA, thymine and cytosine form hydrogen bonds with their complementary purine derivatives, adenine and cytosine. In RNA, the complement of adenine usually is uracil instead of thymine. Thus, thymine is usually seen only in DNA and uracil only in RNA. Thymine is found in all cells, eukaryotic and prokaryotic, and thymine, as part of DNA, is central to the flow of genetic information (excepting in RNA viruses). Thymine has the formula C5H6N2O2 and allows cells to store their blueprints about how that life form is built.
Toxins: tok-sin’z] are poisonous substances produced during the metabolism and growth of certain microorganisms and some higher plant and animal species.
Transcription: [tran-skrip-shuh n] is the synthesis of an RNA copy from a nucleotide sequence in a limited region of DNA.
Transformative Ch’i: [trans-fawr-muh-tiv • chee] is an approach to health developed by Keith Coleman Pierce that uses both time–tested and cutting–edge techniques which have been developed into a quantum system that is designed to move the Whole Body toward health, joy and prosperity. In Taoism and other Chinese thought Ch’i is believed to be inherent in all things. The unimpeded circulation of chi and a balance of its negative and positive forms in the body are held to be essential to good health in traditional Chinese medicine.
Transformative Ch’i Facilitators: [trans-fawr-muh-tiv • chee • fuh-sil-i-teyt-tawr z] practice the art and science of quantum healing. However, the term “healer” is inaccurate (terme mal approprié). Transformative Ch’i facilitators are intuitive, trained professionals and very adept in assisting their clients to focus on “healing.” However, they are not, themselves, the “healer.” Healing is innate, i.e., you and I have the inborn ability to heal and maintain ourselves. Optimum health, joy, prosperity, et cetera, are a part of our original make-up. Transformative Ch’i facilitators join with you in altering or adjusting the energetic fields of information in your matrix to enable a change in an idea or concept. It is you, our client, who then neutralizes adverse or damaging energetic frequencies and replaces them with a more harmonic and healing perception, restoring your matrix back to its original divine blueprint. Traumatic Energetic Frequencies (TEF): (plural) [truh-mat-ik • en-er-jet-ik • free-kwuh n-see’z] come from emotional wounds or shock that change the vibrational characteristics of a “troubled” area of the body. TEF actually alters electrons in affected tissues thus changing their vibrational frequencies. A TEF is born from trauma acquired in this present life and from trauma encountered by our predecessors and from our own past life experiences.
Trigger Point: [trig-er • point] is an area of muscle where an involuntary contraction is occurring in a small portion of that particular muscle. This creates pain and dysfunction within the muscle. Prescription muscle relaxants are ineffective on trigger points because the medication cannot be strong enough to stop all involuntary muscle contractions. Remember the heart is an involuntary muscle whose contractions should not be stopped.
Trigger points have been studied and shown to be the most common cause of musculoskeletal pain. Pain clinic doctors have found that trigger points are the main source of pain. Trigger points cause the muscle to remain tight, which weakens the muscle and puts stress on the points where the muscles attach to the bones as well. This can lead to pain in nearby tissues.
Trigger points almost always refer pain to other areas of the body. This is why many treatments are ineffective. Most treatments assume that the area of pain should also be the source of pain, yet the actual cause could be in a completely different location. Trigger points and their referred pain can be associated with many conditions, and may even cause some of them.
Universal: [yoo-nuh-vur-suh l] pertains to the Universe which comprises everything that exits; the entirety of space and time and all forms of matter in a multi-dimensional single continuous field of energy that encompasses and permeates everything. It carries, contains and shares all the knowledge of all there is – past, present and future.
Universal Energy: [yoo-nuh-vur-suh l • en-er-jee] — See “Conscious Spiritual Energy.”
Universal Intelligence: [yoo-nuh-vur-suh l • in-tel-i-juh ns] or “Total Awareness” exists in all things. Our subconscious minds are in instantaneous communication with the entire Universe. At the Spirit(ual) level of our being we know All Things. We all share in the consciousness of the Universe.
Universal Thought: [yoo-nuh-vur-suhl • thawt] — See “Universal Intelligence.”
Universe: [yoo-nuh-vurs] comprises everything that exits; the entirety of space and time and all forms of matter in a multi-dimensional single continuous field of energy that encompasses and permeates everything. It carries, contains and shares all the knowledge of all there is – past, present and future.
Uracil: [yoo r-uh-sil] is one of the five major component bases found in the
nucleic acids DNA and RNA. Uracil, thymine and cytosine are derived from the one-ring parent molecule pyrimidine while adenine and guanine are derived from the two-ring parent molecule purine. While the other four are found in DNA, uracil is usually only found in RNA. In DNA, thymine and cytosine form hydrogen bonds with their complementary purine derivatives, adenine and cytosine, respectively. In RNA, uracil replaces thymine as the usual complement of adenine. Thymine is usually seen only in DNA and uracil only in RNA. Methylation of uracil produces thymine, providing a mechanism for repair and protection of DNA and improvement of DNA replication. Uracil has the formula C4H4N2O2 and is used in cells to carry out the synthesis of important enzymes and the biosynthesis of polysaccharides. It allows cells to store their blueprints about how that life form is built.
Vibrational Energy Patterns: [vahy-brey-shuh nl • en-er-jee • pat-ern'z] as used here, refer to specific recurring Universal wave frequencies that repeat in predictable manners. Vibrations vary depending upon a person’s belief system.
Vibrational Frequency: [vahy-brey-shuh nl • free-kwuh n-see] — See “Human Vibrational Frequency.”
Vibrational Healing: [vahy-brey-shuh nl • hee-ling] All matter is energy which carries a multitude of vibrations. The cells in our body carry vibration. Healthy cells carry high vibrations. During illness (physical, emotional, mental or spiritual) the vibrations of certain cells are low. Low vibrational energy patterns are held in place by limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs can distort DNA & create illness. For example, a belief system of “not being able to speak up for yourself” can show up as sore throats, sinus infections, heart palpitations, or some other physical, emotional or mental disturbance. By the use of vibrational healing Transformative Ch’i facilitators discover the underlying, usually deeply hidden, beliefs that are causing client distress and then assist in releasing these limiting belief systems.
Vibrations: [vahy-brey-shuh nz] Everything in the Universe is made up of sub-atomic particles of vibrating energy, which oscillate at different intensities (frequencies). The oscillations (or waves) are relative to a fixed reference point, and can be a “continuing periodic” or a “single complete” oscillation. Vibrations have a quick and steady ‘side-to-side,’ ‘to-and-fro’ or up-and-down repeated motion.
Victimhood: [vik-tim-hoo’d] is a state of mind in which people reject personal responsibility for what happens to them. They blame things on their parents, the government, society or anyone except themselves. They live, perform and act as victims. Victimhood stems from a poor or degraded “self-worth” image. When a person begins to love and respect him/herself the healing can begin.
Viruses: [vahy-ruh s-es] are infectious genetic submicroscopic parasites of plants, animals, and bacteria that can cause disease and that consist essentially of a core of RNA or DNA surrounded by a protein coat. Unable to replicate without a host cell, viruses are typically not considered living organisms. Viruses can reproduce only by entering a host cell and commandeering its reproductive capacities to reproduce the virus.
Voodoo Healing: [voo-doo • hee-ling] is a fusion of herbal medicine and faith healing. Today, modern Western medicine is more and more found in the Voodoo mix.
Western Medicine: [wes-tern • med-uh-sin] — See “Conventional Medicine.”
Whole Body: [hohl • bod-ee] The human body is composed of a:
• physical, third dimensional, holographic image.
• In addition, the Whole Body has a fourth dimensional mind/Soul – vibrating at a much higher frequency than the third dimensional image. It has a similar shape and appearance as the physical body and is the source of one’s purpose and is the part of each individual that influences thought, behavior and personality.
• Finally, the Whole Body is Human Spirit. The Spiritual Form is a fragment of Universal Energy which is located in the solar plexus. It is pure multi-dimensional spiritual energy and is unlike any other form of energy. From the solar plexus it connects with the whole Universe and The Divine.
